We need volunteers to help with the following things: Ballot Collectors, Preparing the Models for the Runway, Raffle Ticket Items, VIP Assistance, Clean-up Crew, & some other tasks. The sexiest SlutWalk event yet is on!! SlutWalk Knoxville’s Fashion Show will set this town on Fire starting at 7pm September 23rd at the Relix Variety Theatre! Help us build a world free of rape and victim-hood, where people who express themselves sexually are not shamed or called names. Nurture creativity and self-confidence in your community, and of course help us raise the last bit of money for our march on October 7th.
If you want to be a model contact Jessica Tooley Ward via facebook or else post below that you want to be involved!! All genders welcome, though you must be 18 or older to enter. Feel free to wear your own designs, or wear one we supply created by talented local designer Jaia McClure! Prizes and greatly increased local fame will be awarded, based on popular vote, for the best self-designed outfits for the following categories: sexiest, most creative, cutest, most in-your-face, most minimalist, most ornate, overall grand prize, overall runner-up, overall honorable mention.
We will also have a SlutWalk sign making contest. Pen the most awesome SlutWalk sign, or scrawl the most awesome statement on your body, and win great re-known and potentially a prize!

Please stay on the sidewalks/out of the streets as we walk, roll, holler and stomp against a culture of shame, sexual double-standards, slut-shaming and victim-blaming and for enthusiastic consent, equality, education and sexual assault survivors’ rights.
This is not an event about specifically “dressing slutty” – wear whatever you like, whatever you feel comfortable in. Some Slutwalkers will be dressing provocatively, some not. You may want to show up with a sign or shirt that expresses how you feel about the issues addressed by Slutwalk, or just scrawl how you feel across your body with lipstick or a marker when you arrive!

Preservation Pub Celebrity Bartending Fundraiser for SlutWalk Knoxville: On Thursday, August 25th, from 5:00-8:00pm at Preservation Pub, we will have our first fundraising event. Astrid Dees, Alex Pulsipher, Ali Blair, Jorge Gomez del Campo, and JC Ratliff will be your featured bartenders for this event! Preservation Pub will be donating 10% of their sales and we get to keep all of the tips to support SlutWalk!!! So come on down and have a drink or two, have some tasty food, enjoy having a fun time with fabulous company while supporting a great cause! See you there! When Alex & Astrid originally announced a Slutwalk for Knoxville, they were pleasantly surprised to realize that the interest in the event was so great that we would need a parade permit to actually hold the walk. A number of very excited and energetic volunteers are currently organizing a very cool fund-raising event to help cover the cost of the insurance required to obtain a parade permit; however, a number of you asked if there was any way that you could go on and donate to the cause right now. While we still hope to see each & every one of you at the fund-raising event (details to be announced soon, but careful readers of the Facebook page already have a sense of how much fun it is going to be), those who wish to do so can now donate to the event directly by clicking on the button found on the “Donate” page of this site!
